Supplements

Filo for supplement contract manufacturers.

Capsules, tablets, powders, gummies and softgels. Filo gets your supplier prices and turns a customer’s formula, supplement facts panel or BOM into a priced estimate. Your team checks the work and sends it.

A customer's supplement facts panel for a magnesium glycinate capsule: two capsules per serving, 60 servings, with magnesium 200 mg, zinc 15 mg and vitamin B6 2 mg, plus hypromellose capsule, microcrystalline cellulose and magnesium stearate as other ingredients.

Filo matches every line on the panel to a material you buy, and prices it.

Each active goes to the form you stock, with the amount per serving. Excipients, capsules and packaging get their own lines. Prices older than your cutoff are marked, and anything without a price goes to a supplier for you to send.

The panel's lines matched in Filo's costing: magnesium glycinate from Northstar at $24.50 a kilo, zinc citrate from Tall Pine with a stale May price, pyridoxine HCl, MCC, size 00 capsules with no price yet, and the bottle, cap and label set.

What Filo does for a supplement contract manufacturer.

Get current prices on actives, excipients, capsules and bottles.

Filo emails each supplier from your Gmail with your specs and quantities, reads the quotes that come back in the email, a PDF or a spreadsheet, and records the price, MOQ and lead time.

How supplier pricing works →

Quote a customer’s formula at every quantity they ask for.

Filo reads the formula, the supplement facts panel or the BOM, matches every active and excipient to your materials, adds capsules, bottles, caps and labels, and costs it with your overage, conversion costs and margin.

How customer quotes work →

Give the floor simple apps.

Describe a job, like counting raw materials in the warehouse or tracking open quotes, and Filo builds an app your team opens on a phone, tablet or computer.

Filo works alongside your ERP, your QMS and your spreadsheets.

Filo reads and updates your price list and records where they are: a Google Sheet, Fiddle, or Filo itself. It doesn’t replace your ERP or your quality system, and nothing is migrated.

Supplier emails go out from your buyer’s own Gmail, after they approve each one. Filo doesn’t connect directly to an ERP yet; it works with them through email and the spreadsheets your team already uses.

Questions supplement manufacturers ask us.

Can Filo work from a supplement facts panel instead of a formula?
Yes, when the panel lists amounts per serving. Filo asks about anything the panel doesn’t say, like the form of an ingredient or the capsule size.
Can we set overage per ingredient?
Yes. You set a default overage, and a different one for any material, like a vitamin that loses potency.
Does Filo review COAs or check label claims?
Not yet. Filo can ask a supplier for the COA and spec sheet with the quote. Reviewing COAs is coming next. Filo doesn’t check label claims.
Our customers’ formulas are confidential. Where do they go?
Every formula belongs to your account and is never visible to another company. Model providers don’t train on your data. Read about security.
