Who it’s for · Cosmetics and personal care

Filo for cosmetics and personal care contract manufacturers.

Filo reads a formula by INCI name, matches each ingredient to the material you buy, and prices the jar, lid and carton as well as what goes in them. Your team gets supplier prices sooner and sends the customer quote sooner, for skin care, hair care and body care.

A night cream's formula read by Filo: each INCI name with its percentage, matched to the material Kestrel buys and its last price. Water is made in house, Cetearyl Alcohol matches two materials so Filo asks which one, and the preservative blend is matched by its trade name.

Filo prices the packaging as well as the fill.

A night cream is six components before anyone fills it. Filo asks each component supplier for a price and puts every one on the costing.

The night cream's six components in a row: the jar and lid from Verre Nord, the spatula from Apex Dispensing, the label from Northstar Labels and the shipper from Cascade Corrugated, each with a price and MOQ; the folding carton is still being priced, with requests drafted to two suppliers.

What Filo does for a cosmetics contract manufacturer.

Get prices for ingredients and components from the suppliers you already use.

Filo writes one request per supplier from your buyer’s Gmail, with the spec sheet or drawing attached, and records each price, MOQ and lead time from the reply.

How supplier pricing works →

Quote the formula and the packaging together.

Filo matches every INCI name to a material you buy, prices the jar, lid and carton beside the fill, and builds the estimate at each quantity your customer asked for.

How customer quotes work →

Watch the prices that move.

Actives and fragrances change price more than glycerin does. The Price watch app lists the last quote for each material and shows what changed.

Filo works with the ERP, QMS and spreadsheets you already run.

Nothing moves. Filo reads and writes your price list and items in Google Sheets, in Fiddle or in Filo, and sends supplier email from your buyer’s own Gmail. Your QMS keeps your specs, SDS and batch records.

Filo doesn’t connect directly to your ERP yet. Today it works alongside it through the email and spreadsheets your team already uses.

Questions cosmetics contract manufacturers ask us.

Our customers send formulas by INCI name, and our records use trade names. Will Filo match them?
Yes. Filo matches each INCI name to the material you buy, using your item names, codes and aliases. When two materials could fit, it asks you which one before it prices the line.
Most of our cost is packaging. Can Filo price components?
Yes. Each component is a line on the costing, priced from your supplier quotes at the customer’s quantities, with the supplier’s MOQ beside it.
Can we price a second pack size?
Ask in the chat. Filo prices the same formula in a 30 ml jar as a what-if, so you can show the customer both before you build the estimate.
Does Filo check SDS, claims or regulatory compliance?
No. Your regulatory team keeps that work. Reading the SDS and COA that come back with a supplier quote is coming next.
Where do our customers’ formulas go?
Every formula belongs to your account and is never visible to another company. Model providers don’t train on your data. Read about security.
