AI agent for contract manufacturers

Filo gets your supplier prices and builds your customer quotes.

Filo is an AI agent for contract manufacturers. It emails your suppliers for pricing from your own Gmail, reads their replies, keeps your price list current, and turns a customer’s formula, recipe or BOM into a priced estimate. Your team checks the work and sends it.

A chat where Ana uploads a multivitamin formula and asks Filo to price it at 5,000 and 25,000 bottles; Filo starts by checking each line against her price list.

Why contract manufacturers use Filo

Nine things Filo does for a purchasing and quoting team today, each shown with the real screen from the product.

Filo asks your suppliers for prices, so your buyers don't have to.

Tell Filo what you need priced. It writes one request to each supplier who carries the material, with your specs and quantities, from your own Gmail. You read it and send it. Suppliers reply to you, the way they always have.

A price request Filo drafted in Ana’s Gmail to Northstar, asking for ascorbic acid and zinc citrate prices with MOQ and lead time; drafted by Filo, sent by Ana.

Filo reads every reply and records the price.

Suppliers answer in the email, in a PDF or in a spreadsheet, and sometimes with a question. Filo pulls out the price, price breaks, MOQ, lead time and how long the quote is good for, and links each one back to the email it came from.

Three suppliers’ quotes for ascorbic acid side by side, with price at 50 and 250 kg, MOQ and lead time; Northstar is picked.

Filo follows up when a supplier goes quiet.

If a supplier hasn’t answered in the days you’d normally wait, Filo drafts a follow-up for you to send. It stops as soon as they reply.

Filo's follow-up list: Apex hasn't answered about caps, so a follow-up is drafted for Friday; Northstar and Tall Pine have replied.

Filo keeps your price list current.

When you pick a quote, Filo writes the price to your price list, in Google Sheets, in Fiddle or in Filo, with a note saying where it came from. Any price older than your cutoff (60 days unless you change it) is flagged before anyone uses it.

A costing of the Summit multivitamin: seven of its 18 materials with amount per bottle, price and quote date; two prices are stale and the bottle and cap have none.

Filo turns a customer's formula into a priced estimate.

Upload the formula, recipe or BOM as a PDF, spreadsheet or photo. Filo matches every ingredient and component to your materials, converts the units, applies your overage and costs it at each quantity the customer asked for. Your margin and conversion costs are applied, and the estimate PDF goes out with your logo.

Filo works with the systems you already have.

Gmail, Google Sheets and Drive, Fiddle and Slack today. There’s no data migration: Filo reads and updates your records where they are. If you don’t have a system, Filo can keep the records for you.

A supplier row, Northstar Ingredients with a 14-day lead time and a quote from Oct 21, which can live in Google Sheets, Fiddle or Filo.

Nothing goes out without your approval.

Every email Filo writes is a draft until a person sends it. Every change Filo makes is recorded with who asked for it, and can be undone. Filo never places orders or pays anyone.

An approval card in the chat: three price request emails drafted by Filo, waiting for Ana to send them.

Filo builds simple apps for work your team does by hand.

Cycle counts, a board of open quotes, a supplier directory. Describe the job and Filo builds an app your team can open on a phone, tablet or computer.

The Count app on a phone: 18 drums of magnesium citrate counted on shelf B-3 where the system says 20.

The Quote board app on a tablet: quotes waiting on prices, ready to build, and estimates sent.

You pay for finished work, not for seats.

Everyone at your company gets a free account. You pay when Filo finishes a piece of work, like a product priced for a customer.

How pricing works →

A week's bill: twelve products priced are billed; 44 supplier quotes, nine estimates and fourteen people cost nothing.

Coming next

Filo will tell you what to order, and when.

Because Filo sees your quotes, prices and orders, the next step is a weekly buy plan: what to order, from which supplier, and by when. Each recommendation will say why, show the evidence, and come with the order already drafted.

Coming next

Order 60 kg of magnesium citrate by Thursday.

Why
Three customers' runs need 160 kg in the next 30 days. You have 120 kg released. Northstar takes 14 days.
Evidence
Open work orders, released lots, Northstar's last three deliveries
Drafted
PO to Northstar, 60 kg, for Marco's OK
Coming next

Plan on 23 days from Tall Pine, not 14.

Why
Their last four deliveries averaged 23 days against a quoted 14. Two runs in November assume 14.
Evidence
Four POs, four receipts, the quoted lead time
Drafted
Email to Tall Pine asking why, and the two runs re-dated
Coming next

Re-quote Summit before their next PO.

Why
Ascorbic acid is up 18% since the price in EST-0991. At their usual 25,000 bottles that is $2,100 of margin.
Evidence
EST-0991's price check against this week's quotes
Drafted
A revised estimate, EST-0991 rev 2, ready to send
