Beverages

Filo for beverage contract manufacturers.

Ready-to-drink, powdered mixes and concentrates. Filo gets prices on your ingredients and packaging and turns a customer’s recipe or BOM into a cost per can at every run size. Your team checks the work and sends it.

One 12 ounce can of lemon soda taken apart in Filo's costing: the end $0.031, the printed can $0.118, the liquid $0.076, a quarter of a 4-pack carrier $0.015 and a 24th of the case tray and shrink $0.016, for $0.256 of materials per can.

Filo turns a batch recipe into a cost per can.

Your customer writes the recipe for a 2,000 liter batch. Filo divides each ingredient by the batch yield, here 5,634 cans, matches it to a material you buy, and prices it from your price list.

Prices older than your cutoff are marked, and anything without a price goes to a supplier for you to send.

A 2,000 liter lemon soda batch converted to amounts per can: cane sugar 28.4 g, lemon juice concentrate 7.1 g, natural lemon flavor 0.57 g, caffeine 151 mg and citric acid 0.71 g, for $0.076 of liquid per can.

Packaging goes on the BOM as a share of each can, so every pack size adds up.

The same lemon soda in four pack sizes, materials only: one can $0.26, a 4-pack $1.02, a case of 24 $6.14, and a pallet of 105 cases, 2,520 cans, $645.

What Filo does for a beverage contract manufacturer.

01

Get prices on ingredients and packaging in one round.

Filo emails your sweetener, flavor and concentrate suppliers and your can, end, carrier and case suppliers from your Gmail, reads the replies, and records each price with its MOQ and lead time.

02

Quote a cost per can at every run size.

Filo reads the customer’s recipe, works out each ingredient per can from the batch yield, adds the can, end, carrier and case, and costs it at each run size with your conversion costs and margin.

How customer quotes work →
03

Give the line simple apps.

Describe a job, like counting cans and ends in the warehouse or tracking open quotes, and Filo builds an app your team opens on a phone, tablet or computer.

Filo works alongside your ERP, your QMS and your spreadsheets.

Filo reads and updates your price list and records where they are: a Google Sheet, Fiddle, or Filo itself. It doesn’t replace your ERP or your quality system, and nothing is migrated.

Supplier emails go out from your buyer’s own Gmail, after they approve each one. Filo doesn’t connect directly to an ERP yet; it works with them through email and the spreadsheets your team already uses.

Questions beverage manufacturers ask us.

Our recipes are written per batch. Does that work?
Yes. Filo divides each ingredient by the batch yield to get the amount per can, and asks you for the yield if the recipe doesn’t say.
Printed cans have big minimums. Does Filo show that?
Yes. The cost sheet shows where a supplier’s minimum is larger than the run needs, and what it adds to each can.
Do carriers and case trays go on the quote?
Yes, as a share of each can: a 4-pack carrier is a quarter per can, and a tray of 24 is a 24th.
Does Filo check labels, or TTB and FDA rules?
No. Filo prices and quotes. It doesn’t review labels or regulatory filings.
