Food
Filo for food contract manufacturers.
Filo prices the recipes your customers send, whether you make sauces, snacks, baking mixes or private label products. It gets current prices from your ingredient and packaging suppliers, costs the recipe per unit and per case, and drafts the estimate. Your team checks it and sends it.
Filo reads a recipe the way your customer wrote it.
A marinara recipe arrives by percentage. Filo matches every line to a material you buy, then prices it at your batch size and fill weight.
What Filo does for a food contract manufacturer.
- 01
Get prices from your ingredient and packaging suppliers.
Filo emails your suppliers of tomato paste, oils, sugar, spices, jars, caps, film and cartons from your own Gmail, reads their replies, and records each price with its MOQ and lead time.
How supplier pricing works → - 02
Cost a customer’s recipe per unit and per case.
Upload the recipe by percentage or by batch, a formula or a BOM. Filo turns each line into an amount per unit, adds the packaging, applies your margin and conversion costs, and prices every case count the customer asked for.
How customer quotes work → - 03
Give the plant simple apps.
Filo builds apps for work your team does by hand, like cycle counts in the dry store or a board of quotes waiting on prices.

The marinara recipe costed for a 24 oz jar: $1.38 per jar and $16.56 per case of 12 at 1,000 cases, falling to $1.26 a jar at 5,000 cases and $1.19 at 20,000.
Filo works alongside your ERP and QMS.
Most food plants run an ERP, a food safety system and a few spreadsheets. Filo doesn’t replace any of them. It reads and updates your suppliers, materials and prices where they already live: a Google Sheet, Fiddle, or Filo itself.
Supplier emails go out from your buyer’s own Gmail, and every change Filo makes is recorded and can be undone.

Questions co-packers ask us.
- Our customers send recipes by batch weight, not per jar. Does that work?
- Yes. Filo turns each line into an amount per unit from the batch size and fill weight, and asks you when one of them is missing.
- Does Filo write nutrition panels or allergen statements?
- Not yet. Filo prices and quotes the recipe. Nutrition and allergen work is coming next.
- We co-pack for private label brands. Who sees what?
- Your estimate shows your customer the price at each quantity. It never shows your BOM or your suppliers.
- Do we need to replace our ERP?
- No. Filo reads and updates the records you already keep, in Google Sheets, in Fiddle or in Filo.
